PANTHER electric Features
Maximum Safety
The series is constantly being further developed with a focus on safety for the vehicle and its occupants. With special features such as a crash-tested cab, optimized all-round visibility, ESC, side airbags incl. seatbelt tensioners and an innovative light design, all crew members on board are guaranteed maximum safety when driving and extinguishing.
Powerful Driving Dynamics
Sporty concept: the PANTHER 6×6 accelerates from 0 to 80 km/h in up to 28 seconds. The RIV / Boost mode even allows the PANTHER electric to accelerate from 0 to 80 km/h (0-50 mph) in under 20 seconds. A low center of gravity and a chassis perfectly matched to the application also ensure outstanding driving dynamics in every situation.
High Performance
Perfectly integrated and specially developed: Powerful pumps up to 9,000 l/min normal pressure. And roof monitors with an output of up to 9,000 l/min at up to 100 m throwing distance set new standards in the industry. Even in purely electric operation, there are no limitations in firefighting performance.
Customized Energy Capacity
The number and capacity of the batteries are customized to the application of the ARFF vehicle. Typical emergency journeys can be carried out several times at top speed for 2 to 3 minutes, and correspondingly more often with lower energy consumption. The energy banks are also refilled by the high deceleration energy during the braking process through recuperation.
Uncompromised Extinguishing
Even in purely electric mode, there are no restrictions in the extinguishing performance in terms of pumping and throw ranges compared to a conventional PANTHER.
The Energy Backup System
With the integrated energy backup system, there is a fallback level on board that supplies the vehicle with additional energy by means of a diesel engine during extended journeys or training sessions. The energy backup system can provide more electrical energy in the system and the performance can be increased by boosting.
Individual Charging
From 0-100% in approx. 45 minutes: the PANTHER electric can be charged with both direct and alternating current and has a maximum charging capacity of 250 to 300 kW (DC). This means that sufficient energy can be provided in approx. 20 minutes for a typical operation that includes a high speed drive as well as discharging the extinguishing agent tank.
